I think Blockfi is a great way to earn interest on the crypto you hold in your wallet, as opposed to only increasing and decreasing in value from the fluctuation of price.

As for the safest way to store bitcoin in Canada, I would have to say that using a cold storage wallet in Canada is your best bet.
